Almcoe Refrigeration was founded in 1960 by W.E. Almquist and William Coe in Dallas, Texas. From the beginning, the company was built on two principles: do excellent work and take care of your people.
For over six decades, Almcoe served Texas grocers, restaurants, convenience stores, and industrial operations as a family-owned business. That family ownership meant the owners were personally invested in every service call, every customer relationship, and every technician they hired and trained.
In 2022, Almcoe was acquired by Smart Care, the largest provider of comprehensive commercial mechanical services in the United States. As a Smart Care company, Almcoe now has access to national-scale resources, expanded parts inventory, and cross-market expertise while maintaining the same local team and quality of service that Texas businesses have relied on since 1960.
